Because of this, the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) directive was introduced in the UK, in 2007.
These regulations place obligations on many different companies handling electrical equipment and waste, to reduce the amount of electrical waste going to landfill.
At PC4 Recycling, we believe that everyone needs to do their part for the environment. That’s why we’re not only WEEE-compliant, but are also registered with the Environmental Agency, under T11 Repair or Refurbishment of waste electrical and electronic equipment. Our (WEEE) Environment Agency reference is NCC/060717/2016.
This registration allows us repair, refurbish or dismantle various types of waste electrical and electronic equipment so that the whole WEEE item or any dismantled parts can be reused for their original purpose, or dismantled parts can be recovered.
